Who is spiritual student? Who is spiritual Master?

Spiritual training starts with a person balancing himself, his emotions and thoughts, with training the body. The person needs to learn humility and obedience. An unprepared person can be irritable and unable to control himself and his negative emotions and thoughts. This can cause him to use knowledge and power (unconsciously) to harm himself or, even worse, others.

A spiritual teacher is someone who has gone through the process of spiritual training and has been able to recognize the forces of light and darkness within himself and to defeat the negative energies from within. This is someone who has gained wholeness and carries within himself and shares with others energies of abundance, prosperity, and love. In India this person is called a “Guru” – someone who has attained Higher Knowledge and through spiritual practices has united with the Cosmic Consciousness and has come to know God.

Spiritual training follows these steps:

Obedience – This step is for people who are at the beginning of their spiritual journey. By dedicating oneself to his Master through obedience, a student allows the soul to rise up to higher levels and rid itself from lower attachments. We have all been novices at some point. First we had to live by the rules of our parents. Our parents had to live by the rules of society and society by the rules of nature. This stage is a very important part of the process. It deepens obedience, beneficence and love in the soul and leads one to secure himself on the path of justice. Without committing to this process a person will not be able to understand and reach higher levels of consciousness. His body will not be ready either. Without this step, a person will remain attached to feelings of indignation, resistance, disharmony. He will value his own thoughts over everyone else’s and will place his own limited experience over the wisdom of those who have attained higher levels of consciousness. For these people, every new lesson they encounter will feel like they have accessed the highest Truth and they will not be able to see the unity of their experience because their perception will remain fragmented. These types of people change their teachers and their opinions frequently. They run from one extreme to another, without the ability to comprehend that Truth is multifaceted, but there can only be one Master.

Deed – This step is for those who have completed the previous step of obedience and have become self-sufficient creators of bodily and spiritual well-being. Unlike the previous step, here the Teacher doesn’t teach the student what he must do. The student is now capable of independently knowing what his actions must be. He must concentrate on fulfilling his Teacher’s wishes and lessons to the best of his abilities. “Do-ers” are people who are looking for opportunities, not causes. The lessons come through acts, their completion and continual improvement. Instead of asking his Teacher “What do I do?” a will ask “How can I best accomplish this task?” At this stage a person maintains cleanliness throughout his body and spirit. He is already becoming full of light, prayer, wellness and the Power of God.

Instruction– This next step is for those people who have fully grasped the previous step of deeds and move into the next part of their training – instruction. They are ready to transfer their knowledge to other students. At this stage of training a student is much closer to his Master. They are connected telepathically and the student is able to sense his Teacher’s thoughts, emotions, and feelings. At this stage a person is guided by his compassion and desire to want to help others find their happiness, love, health and their own Teacher. Usually a person clearly understands at this point the importance of having a Teacher and his role in elevating our spirit closer to God. This knowledge directs the students to share these lessons and help others.

SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE

A Master verbally passes down to his student true “living knowledge”. He teaches him about the meaning of life, how to be happy, youthful, and healthy, how to reach God and Truth. A person can wander through his whole life looking for Truth and trying to unite with God, but without a proper Teacher he won’t be able to do so. To understand the true value and meaning of life, to penetrate the wonders of this world, a person needs to give himself to the guidance and knowledge of someone who has access to higher knowledge. He is similar to a child, who will never be able to solve a complex math equation without an adult giving his some basic information about how to go about solving it.

Consequently, true spiritual development isn’t just consumption of occult literature and information. It relies on an experienced Master’s guidance, on someone who carries the “living knowledge” and is able to lead by example how to achieve spiritual perfection. In India, traditionally, a Teacher is called a Guru, which means someone who is elevated, close to the Higher World. This is someone whose words are esteemed over the highest existing laws and principles. He nourishes the spiritual awakening of his student and transfers information to him.

Every person that has a Master is able to receive their help for any circumstance of life. A Teacher will help them receive an answer to difficult questions, to heal someone who is sick. The best and most correct path to Knowledge and Truth is through a spiritual Master.

Like water that flows from top to bottom, so is divine wisdom passed down hierarchically from highest to lowest. The Teacher who has attained complete liberation passes his knowledge to his students and they carry the Truth into the world. The students become spiritual mentors to the world.
Through the ritual of Initiation, a Master aligns his student to the Divine Cosmic Flow and gives him a new quality, the gift of Intuition. This gift allows the student who is guided by his desire to help others, receive divine knowledge from the Source through telepathic and emotional communication with his Master.

Every student is connected not only to his own Master, but also to the Master of his Master.

This connection guarantees that the information that is handed down complies with certain rules that are known only to those who are on the path of mentorship.

A spiritual Master leads by example. He is not driven by his own egotistic desires and self-interest. Master is aware of his feelings and is in control of his emotions and thoughts. Master passes down knowledge that he himself learned from another Master.

Faith in the Master – This is the most important thing for a student to have in order to be initiated into a Master’s guidance. A student must listen to his Master with respect and fulfill all of his recommendations. A student who has stepped on the path of spiritual improvement must fully commit himself to his Master. He must make it his mission to absorb his Master’s knowledge and wishes and must devote his body and mind to him. Only by doing this can the student become Superhuman and be a conductor of Higher Knowledge.
Only those students who commit fully to this mission and genuinely serve their Masters and understand the existing rules will be initiated into a special status of High Priest and receive sacred knowledge about how to achieve complete liberation.
A mentor is someone who is worthy of teaching and guiding others. No matter what circumstances or social level someone is from, they are able to reach the status of High Priest through dedicated and rigorous practice and work on their Mind, Body and Soul.
Everyone is able to reach perfection and open up their higher potential if they receive the proper guidance and teachings.
The most important qualities for a student to have are faith, the desire to learn and willingness to commit and fulfill their Master’s instructions. If a student follows his Master’s instructions he will surely reach his highest level of potential and unite with God.
